NEW ANSI 107 STANDARDS EXPLAINED
The ANSI/ISEA 107 standard was updated with a new version – ANSI/ISEA 107-2004. The ANSI/ISEA 107 standard continues to be the governing standard regarding the safety of employees exposed to public vehicular traffic. The changes affected three areas: class/performance designation, qualification of materials and the new certification program.
The primary difference in ANSI/ISEA 107-2004 is the establishment of performance levels. There are three distinct performance levels:
PERFORMANCE LEVEL 1(CLASS 1) TYPICAL
PERFORMANCE LEVEL 2 (CLASS 2) TYPICAL
PERFORMANCE LEVEL 3 (CLASS 3) TYPICAL
